Bellevue Wireless Site Pre-Integration and Return Visit

Two visits to install, connect, troubleshoot, and complete an Ericsson wireless-site pre-integration. The field photos and original screenshots show the cabinet work, RBS Element Manager checks, command-line testing, light levels, PM counters, RETs, radio inventory, VSWR readings, and alarm validation.

My role: I completed cabinet equipment and fiber connections, reviewed site readings, identified incorrect connections and failed equipment, coordinated corrections with the tower crew, reran the checks, documented the results, and completed the pre-integration package for customer handoff.

Cabinet installation and pre-integration

The two photos below show the same equipment cabinet earlier and later on April 11. I completed the remaining equipment and fiber connections, then began pre-integration. I used the radio inventory, optical readings, and tower crew confirmations to verify that the ground equipment matched the radios and sectors at the tower.

Visit 1 - April 11

The first site update records the GPS and Ericsson RBS 6601 installation, three LTE fibers, three AWS fibers, and one SAR fiber. During pre-integration, I found and corrected two LTE fibers that were not connected at the tower-side 2212 radios. The site could not be completed because the LTE Gamma secondary 2212 radio was bad.

  • Corrected the Alpha LTE fiber connection to the 2212 radio.
  • Corrected the Gamma LTE fiber connection to the 2212 radio.
  • Ran alarm testing and documented the triggered and de-triggered alarm states.
  • Checked AWS and LTE optical light levels, PM counters, RETs, radio inventory, and VSWR readings.
  • Isolated the LTE Gamma secondary VSWR problem and documented the failed radio for replacement.

Visit 2 - April 12

The second update states that I returned after a different tower crew replaced the LTE Gamma secondary 2212 radio. I re-ran the pre-integration checks and completed the site.

  • Verified the replacement radio in the Ericsson equipment inventory.
  • Repeated LTE and AWS light-level, PM-counter, RET, radio-inventory, and VSWR checks.
  • Confirmed valid secondary VSWR responses after the replacement.
  • Completed the pre-integration documentation and site update.

Original site updates

These two field reports document the initial troubleshooting visit and the follow-up completion visit. Crew names were removed, while the original technical notes, issues, and results were preserved.
